Here's an interesting proposition:
If Al Gore invented the internet, then obviously he needs computers for the internet.
If he needs computers for the internet, those computers have to be powered by electricity,
If those computers have to be powered by electricity, then a large portion of that energy is coming from plants that burn fossil fuels.
If those plants are burning fossil fuels, then they are causing global warming.
OH, MY GOD!!! SOMEBODY STOP AL GORE AND HIS EVIL INTERNET BEFORE HE CAUSES MORE GLOBAL WARMING!! THAT ANTI-ENVIRONMENTALIST %$#%^!!

I understand where you're coming from, "Scapegoat." I do believe there are environmental problems - but the Global Warming issue is still not Scientifically settled - though there has been a lot of "sloppy" & "junk" science used, to get the Cause to fit the Result. Many Geophysicists believe that the Earth goes through cyclical changes - Yes, we have created a BIG problem with Air Pollution, but there is more "sound" science that is not the cause of recent increases in temperatures. Geophysicists have proven that the mean temperature of the 19th C. was 7-degrees higher, than the 20th Century. The predominant belief of West Coast, North American "Wild Fires" have gotten worse the last 30 years, because they traditionally were a naturally occurring "Earth Self-Maintenance" to control dead brush. But, because every time a fire breaks out (since we have communities living there) - We have been putting them down the last 3 decades (which makes sense with any fire), EXCEPT - we've disrupted the Earth's requirements - and have man-made the Fires to return, even stronger. I guess what I'm "pushing" here, is that there is so much more to the story of "Global Warming" then what was presented in Al Gore's one-sided Documentary. When YOU have the Camera (just ask Michael Moore), the "Truth" becomes skewed to one's liking. ------------------------ Now, as far as Al Gore - He was re-invented by Bill Clinton. In 1988, when Gore ran for the Nomination (that Dukakis won) - He was classified as a Conservative Democrat and spoke very common sense solutions and worked well with both Democrats & Republicans. Now, I cannot "prove" this, but he seemed to change under Clinton's regime - of "How To Win An Audience Over" -- and he completely changed the way that he campaigned - His mistake is that he is not as charismatic or savvy as Clinton - thus he couldn't pull it off -- Logically, if he would have run as "Himself" he should have won the 2000 Election in a Landslide - It's his fault (or his advisors) that Bush was so close. . EDIT - Excellent point, "fatboysdaddy" !! ...and "Lexicon" - I'm sorry, but the "stories" that Global Warming has been proven by Scientists, is complete Propaganda & Fabrication. .

Al Gore never said he invented the internet. He said he took initiative in creating the internet. Why did he say that? Well, because he fought for and funded the group who ended up creating the internet and was doing what most congress people do: taking credit for their pet projects. What an jerk.

What did George Bush invent besides dead bodies coming home in caskets, a preemptive strike, There to many inventions to name them all that GW invented. He is a brillant man, just because he can't read or write doesn't mean he can't invent things, Oh, well we can't have it all can we.

Global warming is an issue. he didnt create it. he created awareness of it. there are many ppl who does the same but guess he got the spotlight becoz of the movie 'an inconvienent truth'
