Please suggest if I should switch off the button of my UPS while I turn off my computer and should I also switch off the mains button in this case.
Or should I keep the main button on and switch off the UPS button so that it may keep charging?
Does UPS keeps charging while we work on computer?

YOU SHOULD ALWAYS KEEP YOUR UPS TURNED ON.
YOU SHOULD TURN OFF THE COMPUTER BY SHUTTING IT DOWN THROUGH WINDOWS IF YOUR NOT USING IT YOUR COMPUTER IT WILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE THIS WAY.

To save your UPS batteries, you can switch if off when you turn off your computer, but I don't think you have to do so, because it just save a little bit .
general speaking ,yes, don't worry abt that.

ALSO ... it will continue to monitor & regulate voltage that feeds into the PC .... even with the PC off it can get damages during a lightening or electrical storm without that protection.
