it is cancelled
The ratings went down. They are replacing it with a better tv show.

Its ratings have declined since the death of a certain character. The ratings change is enough that Fox felt it would be better to end the show than to continue its run.

Basically, it's not good TV. The humor is sometimes dry and understated which doesn't appeal to the audience that they were obviously targetting originally (mid-teens).
Rich kids versus super rich kids, can someone pass the bagel slicer? aren't much of a storyline to work with.

Because Fox just can't do the teen melodrama as well as the WB (now CW) network.

no. the viewers of the show went down like crazy and the network bosses didn't like it and decided to cancel the show. i guess that they made a mistake my killing mischa's character

Nobody was watching it anymore....it started off ok, but then the storylines got really bad
