Not really. The best treatment for Tourettes is a stress free (as much as possible) home environment where the person feels safe and comfortable and most of all, accepted for who he/she is. Where they may tic without comment from others. Where they are loved.

You can always try natural remedies, but I doubt they will change the Neurobiological makeup.

I saw a website once (sorry can't remember the URL) that talked about using Nystatin and following a yeast-free diet.

The title of the essay, written by a doctor, was "Treat Tourette's With Diet Not Drugs." Maybe if you Google it you'll find it?

Nystatin is simply an anti-fungal and it's very safe. Our son took it when he was 3 days old for a bad case of thrush.

A friend of mine has it. He swears (no pun intended) by taking Omega 3; Essential Fatty Acids.
