A doctor can at anytime if a womans life is in danger stop the pregnancy. A baby is my businees because he/she is going to be a mamber of society. Just like your marriage is ofsomewhat my business. Or why have a marriage in public. You are professing before Society and God. So your marriage is a legal and societal. If it is not a part of society, Marry in private and do not apply to the state. When it comes to keeping a life alive (death penalty, abortion) or ending it. Putting Unions together or taking them apart (marriage, divorce) . All these actions hurt or help society and culture in their own way. Laws should always lean toward the helpful things in society. Being free does no mean you can do what you want when you want it. With that kind of government we would be an anarchy. Everything you do in babies being born and abortion affects society. Most inventors have only mothers and no fathers. What if an inventor of great proportions was aborted. If we aborted 20 Americans in the early years of the Revolution. Would we be speaking British? We think we can play God, but I wonder if there is an aborted baby who was such a genius he would have found the cure for AIDS. With 1/6 of our population being aborted, I wonder what the odds of that are?

I wasn't aware that pro-lifers could look through your records. If you become pregnant and the doctor says that your life is in danger, then I would think that between you and him, the right choice would be made. I believe that most people get upset because a girl may get pregnant and instead of using protection or even abstinence, she chooses to JUST get an abortion to rid herself of the trouble of pregnancy. Each side has different reasons for how and why they believe what they do.

There's a difference between a medical abortion and an abortion as means of birth control. Actually, I believe there was a movie made way back regarding "the choice" between saving the baby or saving the mother.
Seems that in today's society, having an abortion is "no big deal"... WELL...... it is...... and it's a very pesonal decision with much gravity... and one I am glad I never had to to make. IF your abortion is 'free', then taxpayers are paying.... I guess that really answers your question......Regardless, it's only you who makes the decision and lives with it...... if it's a matter of health, there's a reason.

murder is defined as the UNLAWFUL taking of a life of another human being. per roe v wade, abortion to 7 months is legal. therefore, abortion cannot be murder.
as for your rights.. you are right.. it is your body, but more than that, it is your ability to give that child the quality of life it deserves. if you cannot provide for that child adequetly, then you are putting more expense and burden on the state and therefore costing more taxpayers' dollars.
these idiots that think they have the right to choose what you do with your body and mind, do not fully understand the ramifications of their actions. cases like this set precedent for courts to decide future cases. the less laws the government has over own personal bodies the better we will be.

As long as you pay for it, I don't care. You are the one that has to live with the emotional consequences. I know 1 girl that has had 25. After 3 the law should say tie them tubes.

First off, it's not about choice, it's about the murder of an innocent child.
If I abuse my child, is it your business or not? If I kill him, is it your business or not? It's everyone's business to protect the innocent. Our laws are supposed to safeguard everyone's inherent RIGHT to life--and the Roe decision is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
Secondly, whether or not abortion is a choice is irrelevant. The thing is, abortion is an INVALID choice, a WRONG choice!
I guess if you were a thief you'd be asking, "who are you to take away my right to take things without paying for them?"
If you have an ectopic pregnancy, you wouldn't even have much of a choice, would you? Think about that.

Why are you projecting your personal problems on the internet? We don't know you and really don't care if you abort or not. Really I don't care what some stranger on the internet does with her body. That's for you, your God and conscience to contend with. I get the feeling that you are feeling guilty about it, otherwise, you would have aborted, kept your opinion/choice to yourself and moved on with your life.

It's not. But to people who sincerely believe it's murder, don't they have an obligation to speak out? And they definitely have the RIGHT to speak out.
I'm very pro-choice, but I can't help to wonder - what has happened to the rights of the FATHER?
No one wants to talk about THAT.
If you start using abortion as birth control, you should be spayed.
