Some screamo bands are ok, but if some one answers this and says "yeah I'm emo" is a poseur, because no one goes around saying "yeah I'm a (insert sub-culture here)" only the fakes do that. emo is just a label of music.

emo is a label, so i dont believe in emo unless someone ids reffering to the music type. But, I've been called emo all the time. and yes i do like screamo.

Everybody at my school calls emo, but I am not emo. I really like emo screamo music though.

Honestly, in my opionion, Emo is just a new fashion term thats being referred to people that listen to certain kind of music, or do and dress a certain way. I listen to Screamo, Rock, Metal, Goth, and all that kinds of music. Yes, i even dress and look like some of the band members do. But, listening to that music, and dressing a certain way doesn't make you 'Emo'.

I know of someone who likes to label herself as an emo but she is just trying to get attention (more like elmo) or act cute. I listen to lots of music but my type is more of goth and rock, screamo is just ok..
