i needs it for bio homework. help?

well, the dead sea is at about 30% over 8.5 times average ocean water.... so something below that.

Unfortunately, this depends upon the fish. Some "freshwater fish" cannot tolerate any salt. Others like about a tsp./gallon, with 1-2 Tbsp./gallon used to treat disease. Other "freshwater fish" like mollies and guppies can live in sea-strength saltwater (1/2 cup/gallon). Some fish (like eels & salmon) move between fresh & salt water. So there's no easy answer to this question.
