Is there any way to fly there without a passport? My flight is on Saturday and I have lost my passport. I have heard two things from people today and want to know if either are true:

1. If your flight was booked before Jan. 23rd a birth certificate and photo ID can substitute for a passport.

2. The air travel into Mexico passport deadline was pushed back to March 2007.

PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP ME!!!

I live in Minnesota. The flight leaves Saturday morning from MSP and connects in Atlanta, then that takes us to Cozumel.

I live in Mexico and travel back and forth. I just returned from a trip to the US, and the airlines definitely wants to see your passport...so does customs in Mexico. I haven't heard that any exceptions are allowed or that the date was pushed back. Call the airlines and the nearest Mexican consulate ASAP!

You can't get into Mexico without a passport. Don't even try it. You may be arrested and deported.

Do you plan on living there and never returning?

You might not get back into the united states without it!
