I don't believe that it is possible to do, but a buddy of mine thought it was. Can you jump and grab onto the helicopter as it is hovering? The question arose while watching Goldeneye. Towards the end, James Bond jumps onto the helicopter from the satellite dish.

If the helicopter is hovering, its speed is 0 mph so it would be easy to jump into. The fastest human to date ran about 23 mph so if a helicopter were moving slower than that it would also be possible.

Yes, you can. It should be obvious that if the helicopter is hovering a few feet above the ground, you can simply grab on to any suitable part and haul yourself aboard.

yes it is possible scientifically speaking

i have seen greater stunts than that, no strings of special effects i mean

it all depends on coordination, timing and safety

don't you know that stunt directors use physics in their physical stunts?

a simple car jump from a ramp is computed in order to hit a certain target, go beyond a target or land either on its wheel or its top and stretch to how long.
they compute for needed velocities to do stunts precisely

when it comes to human agility, you better watch more jacky chan movies, you'll be better convinced

If it's sitting right in front of you, sure why not.

Of course, you'd have to be pretty strong and have good grip, but it's possible.
