Will he try to eat it? Will he die if he does?

i don't think a hamster would find a screw very tasty.

He may try to eat it, or accidentally eat it. I'd suggest getting a magnet, and run it all through the cage, and see if it will pick up the screw. If this doesn't work, than remove the hamster, and vacuum everything out of the cage. Replace the shavings, and anything else, and put the hamster back in. Good luck to you and your hamster.

i think you should take the hamster out of the cage and empty the cage look for the screw then put it back in...yes it could get sick if its chewing on it.

He most likely will be fine. like most rodents hamsters are attracted to shiny things. But if he does then he might get sick and could die.

Hamsters r like to store things.. .but I would get it out personally... and make sure there r no more in there...
