Cell phone making calls by itself????

So my mom has a Verizon LG VX8100 cell phone. Lately, people have been calling my mom saying that she called them first, when she really didn't. One day my phone showed that she was calling me, and it is still in the incoming calls list, but I didn't answer the phone. She said she never called me and I checked her phone and noticed that the call isnt in her outgoing calls list. Could something be wrong with the phone's software or..???

At first I figured she was just pushing buttons by accident, but if that was the case, the calls would be shown in the outgoing calls list, which they aren't.

Most likely she mashed buttons on accident, having no idea she was leaning on the phone or something in her purse pressed up against the phone. See if the phone has a keylock feature, and if not, she needs to be more careful where she keeps the phone while not in use.

Your phone is broken or has been "hacked" into. It's got nothing to do with ghosts or demons, if that's what you were thinking when you put this question in paranormal. I've heard stories of phones being hacked into the same way a computer can be. Contact your phone company again and ask them about it (You may have to go to a higher-up) and what you can do about it. If that turns out to not be the case, it's broken and you'll have to get rid of it or it will keep going on. Not to sound condescending, but has it gotten wet, or have you dropped it? You'd be amazed how many people say "I dropped my phone in the pool last night and now it doesn't work! Why?"
