I do...and it's so much better!
Plus it costs about 1/8th the price, and takes about the same amount of time to do.

That's a great question and here's an honest answer.

Our microwave broke a few weeks ago and I wanted to hold off before buying a new one. Well my wife decided to get the pan cooking kind and she bought the oil and all that. We made a lesson out of making it with the kids - to show them how people used to have to make it before microwaves came out. That was kind of neat. Plus it was pretty good!

Well I am so used to a micro-wave, but I wanted my son to have the popcorn in the pan experiance as I did when I was a child. Alas the oil was to hot, and I forgot to put a lid over it, that was six months ago, and when I vacuum I am still finding pieces of popcorn you would not normally find in some places.

My son is Autistic and he was screaming crying and dodging popcorn flakes. I guess the popping was loud to him to because he kept hollaring don't shoot. Now when I get out popcorn he starts crying. He is permanently scarred for life I think. I think we will stick to microwave popcorn.

I do sometimes. It always comes out tougher, no matter what temperature I use. It may be cheaper, but it is definitely not as fast or faster. After making my own popcorn, I still have dishes to clean. With microwave popcorn, all I have is the bag, and I throw it away.

Yes I think it tastes better. What tastes even better is corn popped in the liquid fat left in the pan after frying bacon. Air popped corn is much healthier though.

Yes, of course! Because YOU control the salt, sugar (did you know you can add sugar?) cinnamon and other spices, cayenne.
Yum! What ever you want! Packaged stuff has preservatives or chemicals, just look at the ingredients!

We do sometimes. Most of the time we get the jiffy pop that you can cook over the stove
