Take a walk with a stopwatch. Set it for 3 min. (the time is arbitrary, set for how ever long.) When the stopwatch goes off, stop where ever you are and sketch what you see. (If you live where it is cold take pictures, to sketch when you get back home.) Keep resetting the time and repeat the process.
Take stock of your surroundings, there has to be something around you to sketch. (Even the simplest of things, the soap tray at the edge of the tub, the toilet, your toothbrush and toothpaste holder, etc...
Dump some snack foods out on the table, floor, etc... Draw.
It would be much easier to know what theme you were assigned.

#1 look out the window, try to do a pic of what you see, but using only pencils, make it abstract
#2 A city scape detailed
#3 nature, but from a forign country, you might wanna get a book of this
#4 make a portrait of yourself, but use a mirror
#5 sculpt something out of the ordinary using plaudough, lots of smooth holes and curves.
#6 random spots, lines, colours on many differently coloured paper, then cut from random areas from each of the papers and paste on other papers.
