If I am watching a video online like in youtube, is there a way to like record it onto my computer or something?
Even like free software or something online? I just want to save this video to my hard drive

Yes, there is an easier way. Just download windows Media Encoder and you can record everything on your screen and this is the program that you tube video makers use.
