There would be no rainy day considering there would be no earth left and if there was by some chance I wouldn't be here to enjoy the falling star in my pocket.

If I caught a falling star and put it in my pocket, I would be shooting for the stars. It would be a glorious day, not for wasting time but going for it.

Sorry, nice thought, but stars don't fall. A star is a massive luminous ball of plasma . . . just so you know, our sun is one. Do you honestly think you could fit that in your pocket? btw, you would be fried even if you were halfway between earth and venus . . . and the sun is a medium sized star. Anyway, I like that song . . .

Catch a falling star an’ put it in your pocket,
Never let it fade away!
Catch a falling star an’ put it in your pocket,
Save it for a rainy day!

For love may come an' tap you on the shoulder,
Some star-less night!
Just in case you feel you wanna’ hold her,
You’ll have a pocketful of starlight!

Catch a falling star an’ ( Catch a falling . . . ) put it in your pocket,
Never let it fade away! ( Never let it fade away! )
Catch a falling star an’ ( Catch a falling . . . ) put it in your pocket,
Save it for a rainy day! ( Save it for a rainy day! )

For love may come and tap you on the shoulder,
Some star-less night!
An’ just in case you feel you wanta’ hold her,
You’ll have a pocketful of starlight!

( . . . pocketful of starlight! ) [ hum in time ]

Catch a falling star an’ ( Catch a falling . . . ) put it in your pocket,
Never let it fade away! ( Never let it fade away! )
Catch a falling star an’ ( Catch a falling . . . ) put it in your pocket,
Save it for a rainy day! ( Save it for a rainy . . . Save it for a rainy, rainy rainy day! )

For when your troubles startn’ multiplyin’,
An' they just might!
It’s easy to forget them without tryin’,
With just a pocketful of starlight!

Catch a falling star an’ ( Catch a falling . . . ) put it in your pocket,
Never let it fade away! ( Never let it fade away! )
Catch a falling star an’ put it in your pocket,
Save it for a rainy day!

( Save it for rainy day! ) Save it for a rainy day!

Isn't that the only thing to do. Best thing to do would be to see it while it was a shooting star and wish on it, then catch it as it was falling and put it in your pocket.

If it was umbrella shaped - yes. Otherwise I'd sell it and then save the money for a rainy day.

I sure would. Sometimes its best to hold onto something untill the right time. I'd wait till i needed it desperatly and wish for something important. More problems are going to come up so id save it for the worst, but i wouldnt wait to long or i wouldnt have something to use it on....
