I made this ...thing for my girlfirend for valentines day...its kinda like a card. I wrote a poem in pencil, then cut it out, and glued it to three other layers of construction paper: Red,Black,Pink. then the white notebook paper with the poem on it. I was gonna tape it up in her locker before school, and see if she notices it. Thats not the only thing im getting her, just a little extra. By the way, we are sophmores in high school, is that too corny or childish? Should i just throw it away?

I think that it really cute! If my boyfriend in high school did that for me, I would definitely be in love! However, are you sure you want it to be on the outside of her locker? She might have lots of people making fun of her for what you did (and your friends might think it's pretty funny too). Tape it on the inside (if you can get in it) and then let her brag about you to her friends. Good luck! :)

I think it's cute and romantic. I would not put it out for others to see though. I would put it someplace for her eyes only. It might be adoarable to her but someone else might make fun of it or joke with her and that would take away from the sweetness of it. It is worth giving and it may mean more than a store bought gift, the things from the heart are the best. So, give it and you will not regret it. Good luck.

No! It's not corny or childish, and don't throw it away.
A homemade memento like that is what every girl secretly wishes for; it means more than the candy and teddy bears and flowers because it isn't something that came from a store, it came from your heart. You put a little bit of YOU into it.
Be proud of your handiwork and your caring personality; if someone says it is childish THEY are the ones that are acting like children.

I think that would be very nice, something that you actually took the time to make for her, it's more personal that way. Another idea, give her a rose bush, about 10.00 at Home Depot, attach a card that states"Watch our love grow" Maybe she will plant it outside her window, and think of you every time she sees it. Personally, I would rather have a living plant, instead of cut flowers that will only die.
