I used to use BE too until it just didn't cover the way I wanted. Yes I would say MAC Studio Fix Fluid, it's wonderful. It covers beautifully & it's feels light. That's what I missed about BE & now with MAC I don't get that yucky foundation feeling. I don't use a brush, I just prefer not to so I'm not sure on that. I guess I would give a try, everybody's different on reaction, just return it if it doesn't work for you. I used Clinique years ago & didn't like either, that is too runny & oily feeling for me. You won't have that with the studio fix fluid. The price is $25 for the MAC, so it's about the same or less than BE & a little goes a long way. Hope this helps.

Similar to my experience. Bare is nice but doesn't offer the coverage. I was told to use studio fix as well. I agree with the comment that it is heavier makeup so you might break out compared to Bare..but follow a strict regimen and you should be good with controlling the breakout. Mac actually came out with a mineral based foundation and powder..I have not tried it yet but will in the next week. You might want to look into that. As far as the foundation brush I use the 190 and love it. The duo fibre is more for blending and powder applications. While 190 is a thick foundation brush.

I am hooked on MAC makeup. I usually don't care about brand names, but I had my makeup done at the MAC store in Las Vegas once and I have been hooked on their products ever since. Everything I have ever tried I have fallen in love with, especially their mascara. I would suggest going to your local MAC store or counter and having them try different foundations on you. Then you can see the differences between the coverage and finish of each. They also have a new line of mineral foundations coming out this month, so try those. A lot of my friends and co-workers swear by MAC and now I have my mom and sister hooked too! Give it a try, I know it can be pricey, but I think you will like it.

Everyone I know that has ever used their foundation broke out horribly! I tried it just once and got a couple of pimples so I never used it again. It is very heavy studio makeup and should be only used for those purposes. My friends aunt works at MAC and even she says to stick to their eye makeup and not to use their foundations or concealer. See if you can get a sample vial from a few other brands to test it out and see which one you like best. Lancome and Prescriptives both work for me and I have oily skin too. Good luck!

Why go through all this when you can get all you need in one great product. I too have oily skin, I use Mary Kay. Their make up is oil free, and you can get an oil mattifier for $15 that you can wear over your make up that removes the shine. The Mary kay foundation is $14 and their powder is also $14. I'm a hassle free type gal, Mac is great, but it seems like it never ends with them. In order to have this, you gotta get this, with Marykay, it's all in one.

MAC makeup is really nice... and even though it is expensive if you just buy a few things then it won't matter about the price. My sister uses MAC Makeup and she really likes it she has used different kinds of foundation but I think she uses Clinique... MAC has nice eyeliner and all that kind of stuff so don't worry about it they will have something for you.. and have one of the ladies test it on u before u buy it

MAC is really nice and works well. Ask them for a sample. Also, anything you buy from them is returnable so save your receipt. Many times when switching skin care or cosmetics you will break out because your skin adjusts. This usually takes 2 weeks. Another brand you can try that is great for oily skin (what I have and what I use) is Exuviance. It can be found at Ulta or Dillard's. It is helpful for break outs and helps clear them up because it has acids.

I love MAC!!! I use the foundation brush and studio fix foundation and I love it because it spreads better and you use less makeup than you would if you use the sponge. I dont break out from it, but I wash my face every night, so just make sure you wash your face b/c it you dont then you will break out.

I tried MAC but it was too heavy for me. I now use Bella Rosa by Serious Skin Care sold on HSN and it's my favorite so far. I have tried Bare Escentuals but could never get the right shade. The only real way to know what works best for you is to try it. Good luck !

MAC reacts differently for everyone as far as breaking out. It hasnt broke me out and I LOVE it, but I do know someone who cant use it. I would go to a mall and get a MAC facial and see what it does for you. If you like it and it doesnt break you out then its well worth the money.
