Which question should we answer? No, minors should not need parental consent. Your second question is loaded, but I'll tell you what I think. If we require kids to get parental consent, they will either get too scared to face the situation early enough to make abortion an option, they will try to induce miscarriage (which can jeopardize their own lives), they will have unwanted children, or they will travel for abortion to regions where it is legal. Some kids simply do not have a situation at home where they can go to their parents. We have to legislate for the lowest common denominator.

100% yes. Any medical procedure performed on a minor needs to consent of a parent or legal guardian. Why should an abortion be any different. Seriously, a minor under 18 needs a parent or guardians permission to get a tattoo or a piercing but they want to make it so they can have an abortion when ever they want without parental permission?!

Personally I don't agree with abortion in the first place but that is another topic.

This is just another example of the government trying to raise our children.

Yes. We should have parental consent before a minor has an abortion. Why? Minors shouldn't even be doing it. If they can get away with this, It's like not living with the consequences. It also shows that life has no meaning you can kill it whenever. Also, it's not just the minor's choice but the parents'. They always try and teach you right and you kill off their grandchild! It's just wrong.

YES!
I understand why the other side says no, but abortion is still killing a living being. Put a damper on a child's life? yes, that would be a true statement. But lets add in, the abortion would be taking a life as well...I think it is something that should take parental discussion and
direction of an adult. Maybe the parent would take responsibility of the child when born? Or adoption for those who can't have one but wants one!

Any medical procedure performed on a minor should be under parental consent.

This is a minefield on both sides, but I would say no. There are a number of parents who would flat-out refuse to allow their child an abortion, which could potentially ruin the child's life. Worse yet, the minor might then attempt a "back-alley abortion", which could also endanger her life.

Yes, since they are minors and the parents would have to pay for anything that could go wrong. Otherwise they should be Emancipated and live their own nightmares at their own expense.

They are doing so, inconsistent with the much publicized findings of the differences in the adolescent brain and the adult brain, the former not gifted with forward thinking of the long-term effects of their decisions. To speak nothing of the invasion of the constitutional dimensions of the rights of parents.

Minors should most definitely have to have parental consent. What is this world coming too.

I think that until a child reaches the legal adult age and the parents are no longer lagally responsible for the child, they have a right to know.....Man that's a hard one. I try not to get too involved in abortion issues. It is hard to debate.
