I am a black female and a portrait artist. Recently, I have been doing more and more portraits of White females and I have noticed that many of them have some of the most beautiful faces I have ever seen. A friend says that the reason I think they are so incredibly beautiful is because they seem exotic. Is there any scientific reason behind this? Be nice and be smart with your answer.

I think that people of different ethnic backgrounds find others exotic because you are not used to them. It's what my psych instructor said anyway.

Any woman is beautiful. I think people who aren't white, many hate to admit to people who are lighter or just white people are attractive. Because you get fed so much with everything being a White world, and the minority are second. But, when you ignore those stereotypes, you get to experience the beauty of people of all races without feeling insecure about your own skin, or judging others. Yes many White women are absolutely beautiful, as are, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Middle eastern, etc.

i think beauty is in the eye of the beholder. i tried to find out if there was some kind of science behind beauty and the only thing i found out was that people usually find women with childlike features (big eyes, wide forehead, symmetrical features) attractive.

I thought it was dark women that looked exotic, not white ones.

Could it be that you are intrigued with features that are unlike your own.
You seem to have obsessions....with a particular group
You should but more effort into loving yourself and you will then see that there is beauty everywhere...even in those that look like you.....
