L/Cpl. Daniel Smith was convicted and senteced in Philippine court for rape. But was released after several days in the cover of dark and non-office hours by officials of Makati city jail by virtue of the visiting forces agreement (VFA) ordered by the offials of the US Embassy in Manila. Hmmm... Smells fishy?

Could it because he was white and a goo' ol' fightin' boy? Or maybe because the top draw of the country where he is serving his sentence in decided to bow to the Americans (for some strange reason). Who knows in such situations!

Any Court except a USA - Canadian- UK- and Australian Court I consider it a Kangaroo Court.- specially a Filipine, or Mexican Court when foreigners face justice there....the question that will rise will be not what you done.... the question will be is: how much you can pay the officials to get off the hook.- Philipines through generations had and has and it will have corrupt leaders...and the corruption follows allway to the Court/justice System....so the moral of the story is if you live in Philipines and you can't to bribe officials around you...please play it safe...do n't badmouth the Goverment or brake any laws.
