um.... I believe it is GLOBALIZATION!! to ya'll above. check out the book "The World is Flat" by Friedman. It is hella full of stark truth man.. basically globalization is the flattening of the world, no longer are we competing in a market determined by country boundaries. It's an all out game with each person in the world a player yo!! you gots to be able to adapt or you just get screwed. unless your parents are hella rich
