Pride and Prejudice because it's so romantic and the characters have amazing chemistry. Darcy and Elizabeth could stand the test of time. She's also a fabulous protagonist especially for the time period Jane Austen was from. A close second is Persuasion because it's such a sublte love story but so sweet.

Hard question to answer! I didn't dislike any of them and had different reasons for liking each...

I think I will have to go with "Northanger Abbey" right now. It's really funny and shorter than the rest (if I'm remembering correctly), which I think makes it a little more accessible to people.

I also love how she pokes fun at Gothic novels in it.

I think the favorite order for me would be:
Northanger Abbey
Pride and Prejudice
Sense and Sensibility
Persuasion
Emma
Mansfield Park

But again, I do love them all!

I'd have to go with the standard answer: Pride & Prejudice. I guess I liked it because...well, it's just a great story, and is the sort of book I enjoy curling up on the beach with (which is what I did-I read it last summer while on vacation in Hilton Head).

Also, I liked it because it's like the romances we've had to read for school (Wuthering Heights, among others) but I didn't have to do any stupid journals or anything for it!

I would have to say Pride and Prejudice, Emma. I bought the movie of Pride and Prejudice and my daughter fell in love with it.
She has to watch about every weekend. She loves to watch them fall in love. She's 12 and hopes that love will like when she find her guy. This was away for me to show my daughter some older books and good reading for her teen years.
