You can find the most saleable goods in ebay from these ebay reports:
Items In Demand = the most popular items currently within that particular category. To see the In Demand page, go to http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/sellbycategory.html
Hot Items by Category Report = a monthly report that lists the fastest growing categories on eBay for the previous month. Go to http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/whatshot.html and select "Hot Items by Category" from the menu on the left.

Hard to say with ebay. After 4 years of regular auction selling on ebay, I started an ebay store right after Christmas and have about 500 different items on it so far. At this point, the best selling item in my store is the 1977 Dodge Van Sales Brochure! The thing is far outselling similar items for various years Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, Barracuda, etc., etc., etc.
Even with 34 years experience in the automotive literature business, I NEVER would've guessed it!!!

Small Electronics like: MP3 players, DVD portable players, and/or jump/thumb drives.
DVD Box sets: Preferrably something fairly new.
