You have to hash this out with her. Would she compromise and have just one more child? Would you be open to one more child? Why wait 6 years? You two have a lot of questions to resolve. The one for sure thing is don't get a vasectomy behind her back. This should also be discussed and agreed upon between the two of you. If you did this, it will only cause resentment in her and if she is angry enough may go out a get pregnant by someone else just to spite you. PS>>>Being 50 when your kids are 18 isn't a bad thing. I was 52 when my youngest turned 18 and I had no issues whatsoever with the child rearing aspect of life.

You must honest, but say it with love. Remember that sometimes women get the "baby bug" and want another soft cuddly sweet-smelling baby, without considering all the other details involved with having babies, like paying for them lol.
If she's pregnant, it's too late, grin and bear it. If she's not, perhaps this is a way you can open the discussion on birth control again (obviously your methods aren't working if there's a possibility she's pregnant)
good luck!

If she is dead set on having more kids, then there is probably no way you are going to be able to tell her how you feel - no matter what or how you say it, it's going to hurt her feelings somewhat. But, better to have a few hurt feelings than an unwanted child. Get a vasectomy. That way you will know for sure that you aren't going to have any more kids.

Well the simple answer is to get a vasectomy,
You already have all the kids you want and this surgery doesn't hurt your sexual performance.
The next thing you could try is simply telling her you do not want more children. Then listen to what she has to say.
I hope this answer helps.

Well if she is already pregnant you have no choice she is going to have it right.... But if not i would stick to your guns and say i am not wanting this to happen again play the card i want to make sure i can give you and the kids everything i can and if we have more i cannot do that... She has to respect your opinion this is your life to and if it starts a fight so be it this is not a small thing right!

Discuss it open and honestly. Tell her your reasons for not wanting any more kids, and listen to her reason for why she might want more. It's a decision to both have to agree on. If you both come to the decision to not have anymore, than a vascetomy would prevent any further scares.

Tell her that you want the next chapter of your life to be about the two of you. You want to focus on your relationship, and after the kids you have now are grown, you want to be able to be with just her, no kids, no distractions.
that's what i'd like to hear, if i was your wife.

if you dont want to hurt her feelings, sit her down and have a real nice talk with her and make her understand how you feel, if she cares for you at all, she would understand, she should think of your feelings also.
just tell her.
