Make sure the court knows about his constant changing of the schedule and request the court set a specific schedule that you both stick to. It is much easier on the kids if they know when and where they are going to be. Last minute changes are stressful for them and the divorce already causes them enough stress without him playing games with the schedule.

You can request a certain visitation schedule up front where it is documented in the courtorder. For example, if you work a certain schedule and therefore cannot be with the children on certain days, you can ask the judge to consider your working schedule and grant you visitation rights that do not interfer with your job. If you work on Sundays and Saturdays, you can request per court order that you have the children on your off days. Friend of mine went through that: he works every weekend and therefore has his children every tuesday instead of having them every two weeks....

Request a set schedule. That way if he don't make it for one, you can decide if you want to let the kids go, if you don't already have plans.
