i will be getting a wife from asia. i want our marriage to be stable and long lasting. so i need to know ways of keeping her with me. she comes from a poor family in a 3rd world country and i am sending her family a little money every month as a dowry payment and support. should i disconnect the phone so she cant call home? she doesnt know english so she is pretty clueless and will be like a fish out of water and easy to manipulate i dont want to give her too much money either because she might try to run away. is that too harsh? i just want her to stay with me and have a good marriage.

your a real nice guy. i think she would want contact with her family in asia, so your shouldnt disconnect the phone. having a child is the best thing to do since then she has responsibilities and cant leave the kid and run away.

I must admit though I feel kindda stupid at this point I didnt realise one could buy a wife (i did it the hard way back when ...biggest mistake I ever made) Hey has she got a sister? I'm free 10 years now and even have a pension...(I'd be filthy rich in a 3rd world country)

You know what? Treat her like a human being. Don't treat her like your property. Open up good communication instead of isolating her from her family. My best friend is from Korea and she is married now for over 30 years and the key to their sucess was communication. She had to learn English, she had family in Korea, but you know what? She did not run away, nor did she bring her family over here. Women from Asia are wonderful women, but treating them like you describe above would not be a good thing. After all, you want to be happy with her, right? You want to be treated well, so you treat well......

She is a woman...not a pet. You need to calm down man! If you want your marriage to be successful, you won't accomplish that by scheming on her. Just take your time getting to know each other. You need to date her, spend time together. You maybe should learn some of her language so you can communicate. You have to remember she's coming to the States to marry you and be your partner...not to be held hostage!

don't disconnect the phone shes got a right to keep in touch with her family and don't abuse her to keep her from running away even if you bought her there is jails for abusers and don't tie her up shes your wife not your dam prisoner yes its too harsh shes a human being not a animal
