On February 18th, my wife (of 10 months) is turning the big 2 1. I really want to do something extra special for her, but right now money is tight and we are on a tight budget. What can I do for her to make her feel extra special for little money? Any ideas are much much appreciated.

ok i'm 22 but when i turned 21 i WISH my husband would have done this.

pizza, beer, funny movie. decorate the living room with streamers and confetti from like walmart. after you guys get good and tipsy (maybe not you) go back to the bedroom or on the couch and give her sex totally about her. you know, oral sex, whatever she wants.

The gift my husband gave me that is my all time favorite and made me feel good was actually a valentines gift, but since your wife's birthday is close by it could work. I wasn't expecting anything because we had discussed how we knew we loved each other and since we were so broke we wouldn't get each other anything. He got a box of the little kid valentines for handing out to the class and a heart box. On each valentine he wrote a reason why he loved me and had them all crammed into the heart box. This was over five years ago and I still get them out and read them maybe once a year or so if I happen to get so mad at him that I wonder why I married him. You could do something like that, pick up a bottle wine or something so she can legally drink for the first time safely at home with you, and flowers would be nice too. You could present it all to her with a candle light dinner. I know her birthday is a little after valentines day but it could work.

Even if you were loaded, it's the little things that count.

Try cooking her favorite dinner (complete with a flowered centerpiece, candle light, and music)

At the minimum- you need to get her a card. They are cheap and show you care!!!! (and write more than just - Love, Me).

GOod luck

I suppose Vegas is out of the question then??? :)
Ok, it all depends on where you live, what is available to you, and how much your budget REALLY is! How about a surprise party with close friends? Can you think of something she really likes or has wanted to do? Think... think... think....(us girls always drop hints throughout the year to see if you guys are listening)!! Women always love the thought and extra time taken to give a gift, than how much it actually costs. So if you can dig deep in your memory, or even ask her close friends, of what she wants or would love to do or experience, surprise her! Show the effort and she will feel much appreciated!

You dont need alot of money to have a special romantic night! Go to a Dollar store buy some candles and flower petals make a nice dinner wine just the 2 of you!! Women appreciate little things like that more then the "good" "exspensive" things!
HAve fun!

If money is tight do fun and romantic things she likes. A few suggestions...pizza & movie or go to a park, go out for ice cream, bowling during the day isnt too expensive. 1 flower says "you're the only one for me" 3 says "i love you." I hope these suggestions are helpful. Good luck!

For my 21 bday my husband sent me flowers at work and then took me and all of my friends out for a night on the town. He was our DD and that is probably the best thing for a girl turning 21. :)
