The hottest part of the flame is just above the tip of the blue with a bunson burner. A good burner will have two adjustments, the both rotate. look on the bottom for a wheel, or just grab it and twist it. try to get rid of the yellow flame by twisting and get the blue flame sharp.

the hottest point is the tip as the center is blue because there is an ireggularity between gas and burning time causing it to go blue. the bunson burner cant help u with

That is at the tip of the lower blue flame, where the reducing cone meets the oxidizing cone. By adjusting the air/gas ratio, this can be moved in a bunsen burner.
