Options include, Chris Paul, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Yao, Bosh, D Howard, Amare but NO Greg Oden, Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose, ect. You can choose Kobe or Nowitzki, but I personally would prefer someone 25 or younger.

I would go for Dwight Howard for a couple reasons. He's the greatest physical specimen in the NBA today. 6'11", 265 lbs, a 7'6 windspan and a 38" vertical is downright scary. He's got a quickness and agility unmatched by anyone at his size. He's got an improving midrange game, and is an underrated ball handler and passer. The upside that he has puts him in legendary category. David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Moses Malone... Plus he has the motivation, the drive, and the persona to be a star. He's only 21 and is already a top 10 big man, including the PF of the west. He's got too much going for him for me to take anyone else. Although LeBron, because of his size, 6'8" 240, and right now, underutilizes passing ability is a close second.

I'd narrow the field down to LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Dwight Howard, and Gilbert Arenas (whom you didn't mention). You can say what you want about Howard...his age, his potential, his skills, etc...but the guy has a very limited offensive game. He's a terrific rebounder, and a solid defender, but I've seen him play many times, and I'm just not that impressed with his overall offensive skills. A franchise player needs to be somebody who can impose his will offensively, while getting his shot off anytime he wants, and also make his teammates better. Howard does very little of any of that. Arenas is probably a bit to small. In my mind, it's a near toss-up between Wade and LeBron. I like Wade a little better, because the guy is a true warrior, and I love the way he handles the ball. He can literally get to the free throw line anytime he wants, which is huge at the end of games. Not to mention, he's already got one championship ring.

it really is between C or D. A- convinced KG grow to be an awesome participant. And KD can in hardship-free words get better effective. yet KG needs the ball in his fingers. He performed better like a SF than a PF. Durant can play off the ball, regardless of the indisputable fact that it should be difficult to run monitors with KG having the ball down low. B- Howard and Gasol are 2 tremendous gamers, yet they play too similar. C- CP3 at the same time as healthful is the finest PG contained in the league. Tim Duncan is a proper 5 PF ever to play. severe FG%, can bypass, rebound, preserve. He does each thing you opt on in a huge guy. D- Shaq is the most dominate participant to ever play the game. Roy is an extremely good participant and a action picture star on the Blazers. He receives all the interest, imagine if he had yet another participant who needs even better interest? Whoever reported Shaq would not of gained with no best Kobe is loopy. Shaq averaged 30+ PPG and over 13 RPG contained in the Finals. i flow with D, yet C is amazingly close.

When picking a player to build a franchise around, personally I think he should meet 1 criteria. He should make the players around him better. The true greats such as Jordan, Bird, Magic, Bill Russell, etc. all fit into this category. No one player can carry a team to the championship. Who of today's players fit the criteria? Steve Nash, the new Kobe. But if he should be under 25, I'll go with Lebron James.

I would go for Dwight Howard. Size, youth, and game... he got it. Look at all the chamionship teams they were built around a dominant big man. The kid is so dominant. All Howard needs right now is to focus on his all around game (esp. being consistent) and stay out of trouble... He is young... My second choice is CP3... but i would love to have D.H. and CP3 on my team... that would ba a new twist to a Stockton-to-Malone version.

LeBron is a good player but they have already tried to build a franchise around him and it hasnt planned out very well. I would say around Dwayne Wade.

Strictly on marketing purposes, it has to be Yao Ming.
Then LeBron James.

There are at least 1 billion reasons why I will build my franchise around these two.

Dirk Nowitzki. He's always willing to let everyone else shine, but will step up and dominate when needed.
