'Astro boy' would be the oldest Anime i can think of (at least in the western world) - maybe 'speed racer'? I can remember watching both of them back in the late 1960's when i was kid (in black and white no less!).
My favourite would be "Ghost in the Shell" though.

Momotaru, which I believe is the first world-wide success in anime, made in 1918 and in black and white with no sound. :)

I think, an anime called "Attack! #ï¼”ãbecause it was on when my mom was a kid in Japan. I dunno, or maybe Kaguya-hime anime versions......or like old mukashi banashis made into anime.
