i know that u can just delete it completely, but is there a way to keep the songs in your library but no on your ipod? oh and if u just highlight them and delete them, does it need to be on the automatically update setting, cause mine is on manually?

gr8erthanthis is right. Simply uncheck the file, either music, video or picture file. Then sync the iPod. The song, video, or picture will be removed from the iPod, but will stay in the library. Make sure that you have "Only sync checked items" selected on the Summary tab.

To check, connect your iPod to your computer. It should run iTunes and automatically go to the screen that shows the device connected and show the info of your iPod. If "Only sync checked items" is not checked, check it.

Now you can go through and uncheck the files you don't want on the iPod. Sync the iPod and you're all set.

I don't think there is a way to keep songs and videos in the library but not on your iPod. There is no way unless the just invented one. Maybe you should try putting them in some sort of recycle bin or a folder. Good Luck :)

when your ipod comes up on itunes click it and go to the music tab.

if "sync music" is checked off uncheck then click apply. bam. all the music is off your ipod

yes there is. you just uncheck the ones you dont want on ur ipod then update your ipod
