By having black people invent stuff for him then taking credit for it...ie light bulb.

All you have to do is read about him. Many of the things we enjoy today are improvements on his inventions. Without his phonograph we wouldnt have MP3 players. And thats just ONE of his many inventions. Instead of asking a question here, why not look him up? Wikipedia.org

Ummm other than developing the light bulb, inventing the phonograph, and getting films in the US off the ground, I'm not sure....

wasnt he the guy who created the phonograph? and the period between 1860-1900, america was changing with uion labors and economy but with are, music, and literature.... even though art wasnt that big literature was and music was coming about.... do some research on him and how music between around 1860-1900 impacted or influenced america...
