Today I was waiting in line with my daughter and this man came up and struck up a conversation with me about "the world" and how "it's not right that 85 year olds are making all the decisions." I swear that's what he said, I assume he's referring to older members of Congress... I certainly didn't want to get into a debate on the subject so I just smiled and listened. Then he described a very Jerry Springer-like situation in his family. Then I noticed the fly of his overalls was open and .... ugh...

What would you do? It was a long line and I didn't want to give up my place.

Just nod your head and say 'uh-huh' at appropriate moments. I always get the evangelical preaching people myself. Eventually it'll end and you can go on your merry way.
