I am trying to organize a mass boycot of Wal-Mart. Please give me ideas of how to do this and if you would support it. Thanks.

Because they don't treat their workers well, they sell cheap prodects, and they outsource to foreign where children and adults for practically nothing.

Some people answering seem to think that I worked for Wal-Mart and wasn't treated fairly or was fired. I never worked for Wal-Mart. I just don't like them.

Wal mart is like a cancer that has formed a very large tumor and taken over most of the us. Should it fail and fold how could the people adjust?? All those people working at Wal Mart took the jobs without guns to their heads. How can other chains who also fail to provide benefits complain about wal mart. Just about every corporation in the world is cutting health care programs and making employees pay more if they get any benefits. That is a hard part of life. If You have a beef about quality or origin of products just don't buy them. Whats the difference if the product is made in China or India or some other country where near slave conditions exist. We still buy the products. When was the last time You stopped from buying a product because of where it was made??

American unions should join you in force!!!
Most Americans can't put 2 and 2 together. Our economy operates on some very basic principles. If we only bought American products and nothing from China, American labor would be very much in demand. We'd all have good, secure jobs producing everything the nation and its people need.
Maybe we'd spend a little more at first, but in the long run American goods would be in such demand that the production of larger quantities would allow the price to come down in the same way that Wal-Mart's mass sales system works.
If you caught the NPR story about how Wal-Mart can call the shots with Rubbermaid over their pricing. Wal-Mart sells so much of the product that they tell Rubbermaid how much they will pay for the product they buy. That's why the can sell cheap!
If Wal-Mart would start stocking all American goods thereby keeping American dollars here, then I'd shop there. As it is now, Wal-Mart and other retailers are selling us out.
I fear the day that China has all our pretty US dollars and then wants all the Mid-East oil. By sheer numbers, they'll massacre us in any fight for world resources. They are a world power in the making and shame on us that we aren't picking up on what's happening. .... ...free-trade will sell us down the river....

rock on! I hate wal mart, and ill tell you how i boycott it - i dont shop there. and they make a crazy dollar amount in a year, and then they pay theyre employees pennies basically its slave labor as far as im concerned. the people at the top are raking in the dough and the little guy who needs to feed his kids works his butt off as a stocker or something, probably cant pay a quarter of his mortgage with that paycheck. i think its disgusting, but it goes on everywhere not just at walmart.I used to work for the walmart company, so there are many many other reasons why i wont support it.

WalMart isn't the only store available in most towns. It is too
large a company to try and tackle. You sound like a disgruntled
ex-employee. If you were treated unfairly then follow through
with legal channels. File complaints with the proper agencies.
You won't be the only employee to gripe. WalMart has been in
the news before about how they treat employees and they are
making changes. As for cheap merchandise have you ever priced the
stuff sold in Dollar General, Dollar World, Fred's and all the
other dollar stores? Now that is cheap merchandise.

Perform peaceful protests near Wal-Marts. It must be on public grounds in order to be considered a legal peaceful protest though.

I gather you don't like Wal- Mart. They didn't fire you for nothing. Take responsibility and stop being so vindictive.

Don't be so fricken retarded. The people in china that are working in those factorys are lineing up to work there because it is better than working in the hot produce fields.Further more those factory workers are getting clean bottled water, which in china is more precious than gold. You should go to china before you make stupid retarded statements that you know nothing about.

not a clue and nope................you have no concept of REAL life business if you think for one second that wally world is the only place that buys goods from another country, just for fun look at JC Penney, Sears etc and actually look at where the stuff is made.........
Walmart is good for some stuff but really over priced on others, I basically have most of the prices in my head and know when things are a good deal or not.............
