They really should step away from animation and start making movies geared toward teens too.
Because think about it teens are the ones that go to the theathers, not kids.
And teens will spend their money to take their dates/friends out.
They want to spend time with each other(away from parental control) and will do it at malls where they can watch movies.

Well you've got to remember that Disney was created for kids, and that'll always be the target audience although many teens and adults still go to the cinema and see animated movies.
But I do agree that Disney movies aren't what they used to be. All the new ones just don't have the good, solid story lines that the original ones do, and i think that's really sad.

I don't know why you have this idea that teens go to the movie theaters more than children. That's not true at all. Parents bring their children to movie theaters everyday. In fact, more adults and children go to the movies than teens since admission for children is a bit cheaper. Disney doesn't need to make many movies for teens and they shouldn't. The films that attract teens are produced by other companies, and Disney's fine with that.
And teens don't even go to the movies as much as they used to - not much at all. Teens are smart. They don't waste their money to go to the movies, they just wait and burn the movie onto DVD for free. lol Teens don't go out on dates to the movies anymore either... it's lame. They hang out around the house to watch a movie so they can actually spend some quality time together, not sit silently in a dark theater with sticky floors and uncomfortable seats.

i agree, but seriously my friends and i have more fun going to watch the lil kids movies than "teenage" movies
also, kid movies make great date movies cuz they r made for kids w/ short attentions spans- so u dont have to pay attention the whole time to understand the movie *wink wink*

true, they make a lot of TV movies now. like HSM. yuck. hated that. but ya i agree. but i think nikelodeon is really loosing it (for TV and movies). i hate all of their new shows.
