haha, i think he's far from being fired. He took a terrible team, and made them into a very good team(maybe with a little help from Brees, Bush, and Colston). He's young, and if for some stupid reason, he did get canned, he would be the hottest commodity in the NFL. Sean Payton has been the saviour to New Orleans

Of course he's not gonna get fired. He took a team that won 3 games in 2005 to the NFC championship in 2006. The Saints gave hope to the Big Easy, and I think that they will be even better next year.

You have got to be kidding! Why would the Coach of the Year get fired for an above average NFC Championship! You probably haven't ever been to New Orleans, so don't say anything about it. This city has gone through so much! So don't be so bias!
Geaux Saints! (New Orleans is the best)

Sean Payton was only in his first year as head coach and did a hell of a job. I don't see him getting an increase until his contract comes up. And it's actually the owner that has to feed him and the rest of the players.

You are a hater. Payton is an excellent coach who, also brought along the career of Tiki Barber. if anything, He should get a bonus. why dont You educate Yourself on a subject before You start asking ridiculous questions about it. it will make You come off as alot less ignorant.

He took the Saints further than they have ever been, a total surprise, he was bested by a better team. He'll be in New Orleans for awhile.

fired? after his first year?
i dont think so, people say that he wont be because he turned a bad team good, but people just say that because of hurricane katrina. i dont see what that has to do with the saints as a team
they were already good, he didnt improve them
i dont think they did as good as they could.
10-6 is ok,
but honestly, who thought they would go 6-10, with that good of an offense
