Imagine you are a pest controller.At the end of a rodenticidal treatment the client refuses you access to their property to retrieve the bait.

firstly avoid a confrontation and just walk away,next make out a bill and charge for the unretrieved bait, make sure the client receives it via recorded delivery.if the bill is not paid within a reasonable time scale then pass the matter onto the small claims court.

You could obtain a court order to access the property in order to retrieve the bait.

He'll call you back when the rats start looking for food after they finish with the bait.and charge him double for the bait.

I would just absorb the cost of the bait and/or bill them for it.

Try to explain to them that if you cant retrieve the bait then 'DUH!' it will only attract more rodents.
Matter of fact just leave it and don't tell em. Hope they at least paid the bill. ;-)
