Currently police departments have little restrictions on when and how they can taser a person. Non-violent citizens, elderly citizens, and even handicapped citizens have been tasered by the police. According to Amnesty International, more than 200 citizens have died after being tasered by the police. In most instances the victims were non-violent and had no weapons on them.

Opportunity.!!!! some policemen are really on a power trip and will do just about anything to get in the limelight. Rightly or wrongly they need the attention and what better way than to taze non violent people. No physical risk to them and another one gets in the book. Same rules should apply to tazers as applies to firearm. THere should be an IA investigation everytime one is used.

They can get away with doing it but I think there should be more restrictions on it also. I've known kids to be tasered and that's a shame.
