One doesn't touch on one's failures or disinterest before the American public. Remember, Bush was planning an invasion of Iraq LONG before 9-11, and likely had no great interest in Al-Quaida or Osama Bin Laden until it was convenient and trendy to do so....but with Saddam's execution, Bush's vendetta is complete and I doubt he really gives much more thought to Iraq, Afghanistan, or anything else....he's got Saddam's gun, he's got the distinction (or self-delusion) of being a war-time president, and now he's gotta convince the American public of tomorrow that it was all for a worthy, noble cause, even if the main plotter was never found or brought to justice. He's got his historical revisionists at ABC to air a made-for-TV motive that places the blame of 9-11 upon the Clinton Administration, I'm sure the same revisionists will attempt to put passages in history books and FOX News articles that will make him see like a blessed saint and competent leader.
Ahem.

He wasn't given the money to go to war in Afghanistan only Iraq. The persuit of Osama Bin Laden isd over he is considered dead. There have been no reports or tapes from him in about 2 years. It is believed he died in pakistan from pneumonia .
I can see Bush declaring himself as a modern day St George, now he has slain the mighty dragon "Sadam" Once he dies his body will be interred with all the other Saints in the Vatican and eventually chopped up into little pieces and distributed to churches for the religuery on their altars.

Al Quieda is in Iraq fighting our soldiers. Afghanistan is such a barren desert mountainous terrain with many caves. And to find bin Laden is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack, but something tells me that bin Laden has been found. Not by us, but by his family with money. He is being hidden under our noses. Do you not know that Saddam would have had WMD's
if it was possible to get them? Clinton and Bush both thought he had them. The Congress thought he had them or why did all of those people in Washington decide to strike Iraq? I'm talking about both democrats and republicans. Iran wants them so badly right now that they'll do anything to get them.

If he brought attention to Osama, it would only make him look more the fool than he already is. By always talking about Iraq, it makes people forget about Osama.
Isn't he a great president? He's watching out for himself, just like our proud military members do in Iraq. Stay the course.

He can only focus on one thing at a time! If the American people are not careful his mouth will get us into another war we do not want. You are so right, he is trying to indoctrinate our minds with 9/11 as a justification to attack Iran. I remember the day the bounty went out for Osma, he leaned back in his chair & said we will take him wanted dead or alive. And something to the effect that's how we deal with wanted criminals in Texas.
I haven't decided what is bigger his mouth or Texas?

i am glad someone agrees with me. i thought that osama was the reason for starting the war on terror. now we have went to a whole nother country who had nothing to do with 9-11 caught sadaam, hung him, and now where has that left us. still in iraq. bush has not even said anything about looking for osama or nothing. if they found sadaam in a hole, they cant find osama and he is sending us bootleg video tapes every week, thats bullshit

Assuming you get your info like the rest of the country, through the media, a more accurate question may be "Why is the war in Afghanistan not covered by the media?" If info on Afghanistan is what you're after the best place to look is from someone who has recently served there or better yet someone currently serving there. many organizations(letters from home etc... )exist to put you in touch with soldiers oversees and the letters or e-mails are appreciated. If you are more concerned with the lack of coverage from Afghanistan your only real option is to contact the organizations that deliver your news content and request it of them.
