Yes, and if your pets have worms, they can also transmit them to you, especially if they sleep with you. Most animals who go outside will get worms at some point. They need to be de-wormed by a vet and given a monthly worm preventative after that. There are some worms that will not be eliminated by monthly wormer medications, so a vet needs to do the first treatment.

Most worms can only be passed from mother to baby in vitro, or through the stool or stool infected soil. If your dog eats cat poop from the litter box and the cat has worms then yes they can. Its not as likely for a cat to get them from a dog, but is possible, especially if they are friendly (licking) with each other or share the same outdoor spaces.

The exception is if they have fleas, as fleas transmit tapeworms. Or if they ingest wild animals with them.

yeah it can the worms go into the fur and travel and they get to the cat and go inside ,as simple as the cat sitting down.
