I have a 2 year old and a 3 year old! I have always been told 8-12! They sleep from 9pm to 7am! Also at this age i suggest a tightly nit schedule breakfast, lunch, dinner at the same time! Have them take a nap around 1:30 2ish! It works great for my kids! With a schedule i dont mean time to play and all that! Just the basics! If they have a routine things will be easier!
Oh and as for as them sleeping 10 hrs at night and 14 during the day to that guy THATS 24 HOURS HELLO? LMAO ! Anyway also if you have two naps cut the first one keep the afternoon one! Trust me it will work! Stick with it and see the difference!

My daughter will be one on Friday. She goes to bed around 630PM and wakes up around 530 or 600. We never get her out of bed before 600AM even if she is awake. She naps on average twice a day for an hour and 15 minutes each time. What time do you put her to bed? I've read that a lot of times they don't sleep long enough because they are being put to bed too late. Kailey used to only nap for about 45 minutes at a time, we got darker curtains (she always had white noise) and for some reason she just started sleeping longer. If she wakes up crying I never get her up, I just go in and reposition her, give her back her blanket, etc. and leave the room. She will usually go back to sleep for 45 minutes or so.

They require much more sleep than an adult. They'll sleep about 10 hours continuously during the night, but most will sleep about 14 hours per day.

11 to 12 hours at night and about two hours total during the day. That can be in one nap or two, depending on the baby.

Mine is almost 1 and she sleeps 10 hours per night. From 8pm to 6am. Then she takes either two one hour naps (one morning and one late afternoon) or one 2 hour nap.........usually from 1 to 3. I like the one nap, but she is still transitioining into it.
So I would say a total of 12 hours with nighttime sleep plus nap.
