So this isn't about who is better, or lack of this or that, why U.S.A has more talent that Mexico based upon because United States can have many nations under one flag as long as they are a united states citizen..(note to self: That is the mexican governemnt that holds those laws, not FIFA). The whole point about this, was why is Mexico that disrespectful and rude? Can anyone explain why cups are being thrown at U.S players as they set up for a corner kick? Or why Marquez has to throw his head in the vacinity of Eddie Johnson? Or why the Mexican Keeper, like a poor sport, deems it necessary to trip Eddie Johnson after the keeper got beat for the second goal? Please let me know why this stuff happened? And another note to self (America didn't have all of it's players either) no excuse there. And again it's not about who is better than who...if that's the case then why is that Mexicans run from the Mexican league to join the MLS?...Again, I just want to what's with the disrespect?

I think it has something to do with pride. They must feel that theirs was stolen from them by losing, so they try to make themselves feel better about it by making the us team suffer somehow. But they aren't looking at the overall picture, which paints both the team and its fans as disrespectful, especially the goalie. Hopefully, they will realize this and display some class next time. I'm sure they have it in them

You have obviously not being to a mexican league game, what goes on in the field on behalf of the Mexicans is frustration. Not an opinion but a popular believe the American team is supposed to be inferior to the Mexican team, many times the player's reaction can be frustration about being outplayed by an inferior team (personally I think both teams are in the same skill level.) The American team may actually be better but there is much more money made from the Mexican team, for example, in world cups there many more Mexico fans than Americans, the only fans the Mexicans don't out number are the locals. The Mexican team is much more marketable than the American simply because soccer is the national sport in Mexico, not the case in the US. The reason that Mexican players run to join the MLS is that the pay is much better than in the Mexican League.

I've read and responded to a lot of peoples rationalizions for the conduct of the mexican team and some of their mexican and mexican-american fans, some of the funnier ones include; Mexico is obviously a better country thats why they acted like that, forget how the team acted--Mexico eliminated the US in the Baseball Worldcup, mexicans are proud, gringos stole the Southwest, Mexico doesn't like our Iraq policy, etc. Its obvious these aren't related to the question at hand and there aren't any good reasons for the mexican team to act in the manner they did and anyone that tries to defend behavior like that is an idiot. I saw the cup throwing and the attempt by the GK to stick his cleats in Eddie Johnson's legs and I think it put a damper on an entertaining game, good fans -- both mexican and american, and a great rivalry.
If this rivalry entails a whole nation's or ethnic group's feelings getting hurt everytime they lose to the USA, I wouldn't mind the US team letting Mexico score a goal once in awhile on American soil to make them feel better. If a few mexicans (just a few, I know for a fact most mexicans went on with their lives after the game) need a shoulder to cry on, you always have one over here:)
By the way US is 7-0-1 since 2000 in the US versus that powerhouse down south.

First of all, you ask too many questions at one time.
It would be wrong for the US not to include a muticultural National team as this is the reality in the Country. A white/us born only team would be wrong and discriminating. On a side note Mexico had two foreign born/Mexican citizen players on the 2006 WC team, Zinha from Brazil and Franco from argentina.
Mexicans have never really liked shaking hands with any team after loosing in genereal. Not just the US.
Cup were uncalled for but that is the passion for soccer. Trust me worse things have been done. As for Marquez...well..he's the great Rafa Marquez so he can do whatever the **** he wants cause he's by far better than Johnson. Sanches had no right to trip anyone but you'd be pissed to after your defenders ****** up like that and left you alone with a lone asshole striker.
To sum it up, Mexicans don't like loosing to Americans who don't appreciate the sport we're passionet about. Specially if they claim that they want to be the best Team in CONCACAF.
FYI. Mexicans never run from the Mexican league to join MLS. All major Mexican stars that have played in MLS (Hernadez. Palencia, Suarez..etc...) We're begged to come to the MLS for multi million dollar contracts. Bofgetti was begged by Colorado Rapids to come to MLS after England didn't work out but he chose to return to Mexico. Thoes that sound like they are "running away?"
Mexicans (and the world) have little repsect for the MLS and see it as just a place for mostly washed up starts (Beckham) to retire. Personaly I prefer the tradition rich USL.

The disrespect is something that has bothered me a lot as a mexican american. I am ashamed. They are both fine teams whether on mexican or american soil but they are not able to compete with european teams yet.
Both teams are the elite teams in North America and they are always trying to outdo the other. In recent history the US has dominated on the scoreboard and definitely on defense. Mexico can not face the truth that US was the better team Wednesday night based on the score and that is what really matters at the end of the game. Mexico is just looking for a scapegoat now.
Now if you look at the Mexican league (and other South American leagues) play, although extremely exciting, you will see a lot of diving and foul play. There are a lot of acting on the field and sometimes they come across as "crybabies." That is just a disrespect for the game the team and themselves. Learn some selfcontrol and maturity. Grow up, it only makes you look bad and you knock yourself down another notch.
Now as far as the fans, same goes for them where they do not respect the game or themselves. Now if you look at other sports you may see that type of behavior from US fans not just Mexico. Mexican fans are very passionate about the game and their team as they should be but they try to affect the outcome by antics like the cup and bottle throwing. Not the way to go. It just makes us look bad. It all goes down to a maturity thing and a despect for oneself. That is seen from many nationalities and unfortunately this game brought it out of the Mexican fans and players.
Overall it was a decent game. Mexico needs to face reality and realize that they are being dominated and they need to make some changes in their style or tactics. They need to accept the mistakes and move on and make the changes needed to improve and quit doing the same thing expecting a different result.
As for the US, we need to face stiffer competition from Europe and win to really evaluate the team. They are on the right direction though by bringing in new blood and focusing on youth and getting them ready for 2010. Props to Bradley and Nowak.

who da hell said that MLS pays better than the Mex league?.. thats ****** stupid!! besides beckham, donovan is the best paid at only 80,000...the mex league pays way more....how dumb man...and u "three d" wat ever da ****, mexicans are da only ones that look down on MLS not everyone. if dat was the case, why da hell are teams like Man U, Barca and Madrid trying to start or buy MLS teams here? to make it better u ***!!! and to show dat it has a future..get ur **** straight before you tlk man..dont u know and read about soocer? i suggest u start u fake *** footbal fan....
mexico is better? first of all in da WC, U.S had a tougher group than mexico, we had da champs italy...who da hell was in dat group wit mex? iran and angola..they tied to angola...donovan decided to leave europe. so get dat straight too..Donavan a european reject???what about Borgetti?? Fonseca??oh the "famous" Cua???Wow mex beat us at baseball. we are dominating in "their" sport, soccer...and they have only one win in da baseball tournament going on now....we have lost only once to mex in da last seven yrs, which was in mexico...we have won all other ones..remember WC 2002? who won? U.S..and that was a game of far more importants...forget about history..think of da present and future U.S is dominating in soccer and it will stay dat way...its da begining of a new era.....by da way, how many mexicans are playing in europe compared to da amount of americans?.....why cant mexicans admitt defeat...sore losers!!!!they suck....
so wat if U.S trained longer. da players we had have no experience and play in MLS. Mexico on da other hand had players wit way more experience and nine of those players were on da WC Germany roster..so dont use any excuses..a loss is a loss...and dats with our mediocre team..imaging if we had used our european players..we would have massacred da mexicans..mex cant even make a squad full of euro players..how sad...we didnt even use our stars and mexico did...how far has mexico made it in da WC? quarters..and U.S? semifinals...
Moreover, Mexicans can not ever admit a loss to the United States..Their "excuse" does not ever change.."oh we played better, they just got lucky"..bs...luck does not last that long..
