Just curious to see what other parents are feeding their baby @ 10 months.

I know that every baby is different & you have to follow your babies cues. I'm just curious to see how other babies are eating.

Mine just turned 10 months the other day.

Morning bottle, 8oz formula

breakfast: either thick baby cereal with baby fruit OR regular cereal (no sugar ones) like cheerios soggy with whole milk, then drained. she loves them

Lunch: whatever we eat, if it is baby appropriate, or a Gerber graduate (or similar toddler meal)

Snack: 6oz whole milk and yo baby yogurt or Graduates Cereal snacking squares, broken into smaller pieces.

Dinner: whatever we eat (unless it is tacos or something, then she gets a Gerber Graduate or something leftover from another meal that I saved for her.

Bedtime: 8oz formula with 5tsp cereal, then teeth brushed and off to bed by 8pm

She eats very well. I just take what we are eating and either cut it into small pieces or mash it a little with a fork. If it is something tough (like beef or chicken) I smash it with my fingers, then feed it to her. She likes just about anything. She eats all veggies, loved noodles, and even likes ketchup on her meat. I love the Gerber Graduates, because they make for great meals when we are eating non-baby appropriate things.
I also buy the fruit cups and Wal-Mart has little plastic veggie cups that are just perfect for her. She eats those too. for example, last night we had tacos. she had Gerber meatsticks (dipped in ketchup) and a cup of well rinsed green beans. Tonight we had spaghetti. she ate that. I even sprinkled a little parmesan cheese on it. she loved it!

at ten months i fed four of my five children breast milk or formula only, my other child i put Gerber's rice cereal in his bottle also he seemed hungrier then the others and with all at 1 year, bottles went in trash and they ate real food no baby food, i put up with a lot of people judging me because of this choice but my children thrived and are all big and healthy not overweight but very healthy, i did give them some pediasure in a cup for about 6-7 months, and to this day they take a multivitamin and vitamin b complex

Ditto to the first answer, particularly if you have breast fed your child. My pediatricians have always told me that processed baby food tends to be too bland to babies/toddlers who have been breast fed because so much of the flavor transfers through the breast milk.

All of my breast fed babies totally snubbed baby food so I would take our table food (again, as the other answer, avoiding known choking hazards) and pureed or chopped the food up finely (either using a food processor, blender or even a food chopper like Pampered Chef sells) and fed that to my baby.

Best of luck and enjoy your 10 month old, they grow way too quickly!

my ten month old daughter loves her food, it is getting more fun now she is eating more 'normal' food and experiencing new tastes etc. she is still breastfed three times a day. breakfast she has wheat cereal with a bit of milk and mashed banana, lunch is usually a sandwich or mashed vegies, and maybe a bit of fruit puree. dinner she has mashed vegies with finely chopped chicken followed by fruit with yogurt. she usually has a few snacks, like plain biscuits, bread, fruit etc. i also try and add different things to her meal like a bit of cheese, pasta, rice etc. sometimes when we go out i give her a jar of baby food, it is easier and safer than carrying fresh food without it being refrigerated.

My son is 8 1/2 months, my doctor put him on homogenized milk (he wouldn't drink formula), he drinks juice, he eats whatever, those Gerber Graduate snacks he loves, little peices of bananas, anything soft, mashed potatos, homemade spagetti cut up tiny, rice, yogurts, pudding, fruit cup (peaches and pears their soft, just take out hard peices, cut up bigger ones and watch for peels)....basically anything soft and tiny to prevent choking.

But my son also has 6 teeth to.

My daughter is 9 months, and is basically eating whatever we are having (cut up really small). Of course I still avoid all the "high risk" foods.
