HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- Anna Nicole Smith, the pneumatic blonde whose life played out as an extraordinary tabloid tale -- Playboy centerfold, jeans model, bride of an octogenarian oil tycoon, reality-show subject, tragic mother -- died Thursday after collapsing at a hotel. She was 39.
She was stricken while staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and was rushed to a hospital. Edwina Johnson, chief investigator for the Broward County Medical Examiner's Office, said the cause of death was under investigation and an autopsy would be done on Friday.

Just five months ago, Smith's 20-year-old son, Daniel, died suddenly in the Bahamas in what was believed to be a drug-related death.
Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger said a private nurse called 911 after finding Smith unresponsive in her sixth-floor room at the hotel, which is on an Indian reservation. He said Smith's bodyguard administered CPR, but she was declared dead at a hospital.

yes indeed it is true that she is dead.
she collapsed in the hard rock hotel in Florida. soon after she was rushed into the hospital. She was pronounced that at the arrival of the hospital. It is a sad day. I couldn't believe it either. The cause of her death is currently investigated. I hope she did not die from anything such as poison, drug abuse, anorexia or other medical issues. I hope that the reason for her death was caused by natural causes. it was a sad day. Ann nicole smith was a great model.

Yes,found unconcious in her hotel then pronounced dead at the moment no cause given.Aparently she was 39 years old most probably overdose or something but yes she is dead.

She died Thursday afternoon in Florida. An autopsy was done yesterday, but the exact cause of death is still not known.

she died today in her hotel room. Cause of death is unknown at this time, an autopsy will be done on Friday the 9th.
A little 5 month old baby girl was left without her mother and that is the tragedy.

To answer your other questions, she undoubtedly died (today) of a miserable heart and a drug overdose. May she be at peace, now, once and for all.... and best of luck to her daughter- only an infant.

Yes, it is true!!!!
I don’t think celebrities are more important; however, they're in public eyes, so you can't help for media or even us not to talk about them, PERIOD!!!!
I feel really bad & sad.... I don't personally know her or anything, but I feel so sad for her daughter.
People are just too quick to judge her.... she was this, she was that..damn....she's dead!

Yes according to reports, she was pronounced dead around 2-ish this afternoon. No one knows the exact cause yet but she just collapsed. Its still being investigated.
