I have a westell 7400 router and ports 3 & 4 are not coming on when I plug in my ethernet cable. Can they be turned off and if so, how do you turn them on? Or is my router screwed up (it's a refurbished router from dsl-warehouse). I also powered the router on & off and still just ports 1 & 2 are working.

It could be the ports a bad. Are you sure you have the proper drivers installed? If you don't here is the link to westell's website.

Assuming the router is okay, try to reconfigure it. The firmware probably has the other ports disabled. Check your manual (if it came with the router).

Otherwise, try typing 192.168.1.1 on your browser (I think I managed to connect to a Westell router when I was trying to reach my own router (a Linksys) but my router wasn't powered on.
