My mom bought a song from iTunes. She couldn't download it to her mp3 player. It said that it could download it to an mp3 player though. Anyway, she downloaded it to my dad's iPod and I want to put it on my iPod. When I plugged it in, my mom couldn't transfer it over. I plugged my dad's iPod into the computer and tried to move the song into my library and it wouldn't let me.

The song is Ramalama (Bang Bang) by Roisin Murphy... so if you can't help me with this, give me a website or something where I can download free music. My mom already bought it, and I don't want to buy it again. The website I used to use to get music doesn't exist anymore.

FRIEND
ITUNES IS FOR PUTTING SONGS ONLY ONTO A IPOD
AND NOT FOR MP3 PLAYER
BECAUSE THEIR CODINGS ARE DIFFERENT
FOR
PUTTING ON TO UR MP3 PLAYER
1.CONNECT UR MP3 PLAYER AS A USB DEVICE IT WILL COME AS A REMOVABLE DEVICE NEAR UR CD PLAYER IN MY COMPUTER
2.OPEN THAT CHOOSE A FOLDER AND PUT UR SONGS LIKE HOW U DO IT ON COMPUTER
3.PUT ONLY MP3 SONGS \ WAV OR WHAT EVER SUPPORTED BY UR MP3 PLAYER
AND MOST LIKELY IT WOULDN'T SUPPORT AAC WHICH IS ITUNES FORMAT BASICALLY FOR IPOD A DIFFRENT METHOD OF COMPRESSION

Songs from iTunes ONLY work with iPods. If your mom's mp3 player isn't an iPod, it won't work.

Also, you can't transfer iTunes songs to other iPods.

Welcome to the world of Digital Rights Management. Used to be, you buy a CD or cassette or LP and do whatever you want with it. Not any more. Although, if you don't mind bootlegging (which is illegal, I will warn you), you can download just about anything through file sharing software like Limewire.
