Suppose I just graduate from high school and am 18.

How old will I be when I get a degree in sociology?

Almost all bachelor degrees including sociology require at least four years, the majority of American student take five years. Then if you want a master's add another two and then for a Ph.D two to three more. So 18+4+2+2= 26 or so

It depends on where you are. If you are in the states, it doesn't go so much by years per se, but by credit hours. A BA/BS will take you about 132-136 hours (each course is typically 3 hours, but some have labs making them 4 hours) An Associates degree is typically about 63-66 hours (which if finished, will be accepted by a 4-year university.

It usually takes 4 to 5 years.

You will be 22 to 23 years old.

approx 4 years for BA...

If you go to graduate school:

MA but no PhD - approx 2 years
PhD - approx 4 years (earn MA on the way)

These time estimates assume that you devote yourself full-time to school.
