Centi = 1/100 and Milli =1/1000
So in this matter:
Centi = 100
Milli = 1,000
Hence: the answer is millipede.
Centipedes have one pair of legs per body segment and millipedes have two pair of legs per body segment.
Millipedes can be black or rust colored and do not bite.
Centipedes have antennae and can bite.
My experience has been they are often confused.

What you are thinking of or seeing are centipedes their legs stick out the sides. Thousand leggers or Millipedes are dark red almost brown in color and have a lot more legs underneath their bodies. I haven't seen one of them in years.
