Do you think that this trade is possible? I saw a comment about it on ESPN.com that said the Spurs could trade Oberto, Barry, and Eric Williams for him. Do you think it would be good or bad for them and why?

They could trade him, any team could POTENTIALLy get Pau Gasol, but the Grizzlies would be insane to do that.
Oberto is a backup center at best, Brent Barry is a declining sg, and eric williams doesn't even play.
if you use espn trade machine you can see all kinds of funky combinations to make trades.
The trade is good for the Spurs but Jerry West isn't stupid, he would never make a trade so lopsided, especially when he has the potential to get Ben Gordon/Luol Deng and a 1st round pick.

Very good trade, those 3 players together can't match up against Pau Gasol. The spurs could win the NBA with Pau Gasol because they would have Duncan as Center and put Pau as power forward or vice-versa

no that will not happen. Memphis isn't getting enough. If that was the spurs final offer they could get more from the bulls. If Memphis was smart, they wouldn't trade him because then the could get oden to go along with Pau and all the sudden Memphis is good

Spurs is a the most foreign basketball powerhouse in NBA. It would be cool if Spurs contain 5 talented foreigners.

spurs would be so strong if that happens. I want to see Chris Bosh for Pau Gasol that makes Toronto a "European team" with Gasol, Garbajosa, Calderon and Nestrovic. But it won't happen..=(

not gonna happen. its not only because of the lopsided deal, but also teams dont trade a franchise player to a conference rival, much more a division rival!. thats why shaq didnt end up with the mavs.
