Caring about tried world countries is nice and all but don't you think that we should worry about the US first. There are people starving in the streets of every city, children with no food or decent clothes or even a warm dry place to sleep and take shelter. And yet we send billions of our tax dollars on taking care of every one Else first but not us. The perfect example is hurricane Katrina and what happened to all that were affected in the southern states. Everyone knew it was coming but at ill we weren't prepared for it

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His Anointed, saying Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.
Psalm 2:1-3 & 12

It's not a question of "don't even care". It's a condition of "tired of caring with no results". I can remember back as a kid, decades ago, my parents telling me to eat all my dinner because the "poor kids in Biafra (some african nation back then) were starving to death and you wouldn't want to waste food." Well, after the Biafrans it was another "third world country", a continuum of "countries" or tribes that didn't feed themselves, and we poured BILLIONS of dollars and incredible loads of food and other types of welfare over to them, and, they're still starving and can't feed themselves, and they still get "incurable" diseases because they can't follow guidelines about how NOT to get sick, and they can't save enough money to last till tomorrow because they, for some reason, can't budget. I've seen this go on for the vast majority of my life with respect to "third world countries". They're a bottomless pit of demand for this and that, for ever, and I'm way past tired giving-a-damn about them and their eternal helplessness. God Bless you.

three issues one question. thus three answers. America is not dumb. most people do care. and most people do care about third world countries but unfortunately their intervention is limited or so they think. thanks for your concern expressed in the question itself. do not ask what the government can do for you but ask what you can do for your government -- a repro of what Kennedy told us. hope it helps.

We don't even care about supporting our president in the war we are in. The news media is what fills our minds and we don't look in between the lines.

You assume that your generalization is true. What makes so many people ignorant enough to believe such tripe?
Might you have anything of substance to back up your wild allegations?
